Hi new member long time skater and art fan. I know several people complain about quality on reissues not being up to par. My personal feeling is things just aren't going to be as good as the original no matter who the manufacturer is.

The problem I have recently not been able to brush off is the yellow cab reissue that recently released. The deck looks nothing like the picture, the picture shows a solid yellow vs a very light mustard colored stain where all wood grain is visible and more importantly the pictures most places had showed a red peralta logo instead of the standard silver or gold reissues, one of the reasons I bought it. It really is laughable how different this deck is.

Is this right ? At what point does PP say this is shite. Can they legally show this deck in the light of looking pretty close to the og then send these to everyone who orders them. I dunno maybe they can but I'm not sure about them anymore maybe just strictly a money making machine now and they don't care what their customers think.

Not trying to start a reissues aren't as good blah blah blah thread just bummed on this one deck that I actually thought pp was going in the right direction with the matching colored logos. Any thought on why this is? It's not like there won't be any differences between its and reissues because there are numerous other ways u can see the difference.

The OG yellow powells had lots of grain showing through the stains also. Personally I appreciate the top logo difference bc it makes the reissues easy to spot, something collectors have called for on repros/reissues forever....

Do u have a pic of your cab?

You don't need a diff colored logo to spot these, they are more of a mustard color u can spot the difference from a mile a way. So why advertise the og logo and nit make them that way. That's my biggest complaint.
