Does anyone know anything about Hobie's Vintage Longboard that was recently reproduced? I saw one at a local shop. Looks like the original 60's with inlaid wood, I think it was 43 inches long. Beautiful craftsmanship. I went back for the board, the shop was closed for the next week. Any info would be appreciated. Aloha! |

if you google for hobie skateboards this is the first link:
http://www.hobie.com/skateboards/
the "super surfer" looks sweet though i would prefer a shorter 38"ish longboard.
edit: yeah and here: http://www.hobie.com/store/products.asp?c=31 are the 36" and 39" super surfers which i like more than the fat 47".
US$ 160,- for the complete with baku trucks seem a fair deal.

Wonder why they don't sell the decks alone on the website? |

Yeah...I wonder why they didn't sell them just as a deck alone. These boards are so cool. Think I'll get one just to ride around the neighborhood. |

Why can't they remake the super surfer with clay wheels? |

Those Super Surfers are cool! I got one of them. I don't think they'll reproduce those anytime soon... |
