I was once denied to skate when I visited Woodward Pennsylvania due to my age. They told me that they don't have visitors covered that are above the age of 18.
After I told them that I drove all the way from Cleveland to skate Woodward they gave in and allowed me to skate for half an hour.
Well, I did not as it was pointless to me since it wouldn't even be a proper warm-up.
Brian Howard (Planet Earth) was skate instructor at that time and he gave me a quick tour and showed me the entire installation.
But that is pretty much all that I can tell about my "skate trip" to Woodward Pennsylvania.
Oh yeah, I stood in a "famous" hotel the following night which is called Brick House IIRC. Famous because a house made out of actual bricks seems to be somewhat rare in that area. |

That'd be rad.
There was talk that Woodward was going to partner with COP here in Calgary and build a facility to give snowboarders somewhere to train in the summer in addition to skaters. Still hoping. |

Right now Skaters Over 50 is working on a weekend get together for us grown up skaters at Woodward in Tahoe, possibly in September. I'll post more details as they come through. |
