Hey everyone,
I know I know, that might not be the best place to post this but please help me out. I am doing my master thesis about authenticity and skateboarding and really need core members to fill out my survey in order to show that big players like Nike never will be authentic, or do you have another opinion?
You would help me out big time and it will only cost you like 3 minutes of your lifetime.

How is Nike not authentic? Nike was one of the first choice of skate shoes for vert riders.
And this is not a hot discussion. |

I didn't want to implicate that Nike is not authentic, but there are lot of people who are of the mind that Nike is just coopting skateboarding because its profitable, others say Nike is giving back and that it is awesome to have such a brand involved in the culture.
To find out what people or lets be more acurate and say skateboarders think, is exactly what I want to find out with that survey. |

| And, my guess is that Vans, who was the first shoe company to sponsor skaters and events) started sponsoring pro riders to get the jump on Nike (and everyone else) before they did it. |

here's my 2c : you'll be in trouble if your thesis is working on a basis of adjusting facts to your view. seems to lack a serious amount of objectivity. your call to participation shouldn't include any judgment, but should be neutral.
furthermore, "authenticity" isn't an objective criteria, but one that relies on the definition of the people involved.
