This is a two part launch announcement and question.
I started a small skateboard company with the hopes of promoting our local skaters and making decks for them to ride. I am in the process of setting up the first run of decks and wanted to get some thoughts from you guys on the first designs.
Emerald City Skate is located in Gig Harbor WA.
We plan to remain small and focus on getting locals from all over recognized.
Part 2:
I just got my sample decks and am in the process of ordering the first run but wanted to get an idea of what sizes people prefer these days?
I ride a 8.25 and that seems to be about the most common one I have found.
What would you say is the three sizes to start with if you had to choose?
8.0, 8.25 and 8.5?
Also, mellow concave or steep concave?
Here are the three decks I am having printed. What do you think? If you don't like one or all let me know. Please!

I like the middle one, but I'm not sure what the third one is supposed to be. Kind of looks like melted wax.? |

It's the Pike's Place Gumwall in Seattle. Here is a picture rotated the correct way.

The site and ordering are now live. I have three more decks posted to the site. Actual pictures of the decks will be posted once I have them in hand this coming week.
I am offering $10 on this first run if anyone is interested. Use the promo code: FIRST10 for $10 off any deck.

Nice job. I like all the graphics but the space needle (really like that one) and gum wall are my faves. The map graphic would be great with a little more colour, but that's just IMO.
A deep concave version of the Space Needle in 8.75 or 8.88 would be sweet. Any chance? I'd happily pay for a sample deep concave 8.88 Space Needle. Especially with a squarish tail.
Anyway good luck with the decks. I hope that it all works out for you.

Somewhat on topic the city removed that gumwall just recently. Attracted rats supposedly. And it's just outside a food market. Rats like to chew gum. Who Knew? |
