This has been suggested to me many times by members.

In light of ever decreasing take from ebay ($46 last month) that will no longer pay for this site. I've actually had to sell shit and raffle shit due to the fuckery and gross shortfall of the Ebay Partner Network bullshit. Being injured has cut into my ability to make a living so I just can't pay for it all anymore.

I also see fewer people using ebay and more using on-site deals—obviously that's important to you, this site's membership.

There are a number of people that donate to the site regular (thank you, you guys rock) but there's others that buy and sell like crazy on the forum without dropping a dime. Members that have kicked in have already started to notice who kicks in and who doesn't via the donation thread and have made comment to me via pm.

Despite that, I'm not ready to impose any mandatory charges or membership charges, but if you make a good sell or a wicked score, kick some coin to the site for providing the environment for that to happen. Good karma at least.

I will not police this, this is up to you if you want this community to continue to serve you.

We appreciate whatever you can kick in.

I'd suggest a small membership fee, but I see it as a benefit to the users actually.

From the user end, it keeps out the random dils and non-contributing lurkers.

You can also make the sale section a pay for viewing area, I believe those that use it are in two groups- those that kick some back and those that are trying to use flow for their own maximized sales.

Another forum I read has an annual membership fee to get access into the trading section, all the other parts of it are free.

Dr. F - Administrating annual membership thing would very time consuming I think. And I can't spend enough time on the computer due to my neck injury as it is.

ECBP - Yeah, Silverfish does that. I prefer to give all members full access and they can kick in when they can.

Sticks - I think everyone contributes as part of the community.

12,027 members, if everyone gave a little, that would add up to a lot.
