You can buy a chemical called Haze remover which will take the image that is left behind away.

oh yea, make sure you wear gloves and are in a ventilated area. Shit is like acid and will burn the shit out of your lungs if you breath it.

If you aren't using a pressure washer with at least 75 lbs of pressure, you need that...trust me. I went through the process of getting haze remover and it destroyed my screens only to find out later what I really needed was a good pressure washer. Trust me, the garden hose, just ain't gonna cut it.

Not only do I skate, but I'm a printmaking major as well..

If you clean out a screen and there is still a ghosted image of what you just printed, you're usually OK to go again, UNLESS the ghosted image is remaining ink particles trapped in the screen.. Hold it up to the light to make sure..

When I wash out a stencil (I use diazo emulsion stencils) I use this stuff called Tetko Screen Reclaimer. There's a company called Sefar International you can get it from.. Spray it on, scrub it with a bristle brush and let it sit on the screen for 15 minutes and spray out with a hose later..

If you are trying to COMPLETELY clean out a screen you need a good De-Hazing paste. Sefar probably has that too.. Be advised, you need gloves, a mask, and an apron to use this stuff.. It has a shit-ton of chlorine in it and will jack your ass up with a quickness.. You also need to use a pressure washer to clean it out..

That's all for now.
