I wanted to share the newest shape we've been screen printing this week for MODE Skateboards. The Mike Osterman freestyle model is a 7.75 by 28.5 single kick with mild concave pressed and cut by Pennswood.

The deck was a collaboration between a number of people. Mike developed the shape, his friend Devin Law drew the grasshopper line art, Mike gave us his school notes from his biology classes at the University of Illinois, and my wife produced the final board graphic.

The printing involved seven screens (four for the bottom and three for the top).

I'll be printing more colors and getting them up on the website. But if anyone has any ideas for future color combinations, let me know. Thanks.

I generally have zero interest in freestyle boards, but the graphic concept and execution of your decks is awesome.

Thanks. I appreciate it. I understand freestyle is a super small part of skateboarding ... I'm trying to do boards for all types of skating. Plus, I primarily skate freestyle and transition.
