I don't know a whole lot about longboards, but I've heard good things about Sector 9. I'm digging on the Cloud 9 "Crest" model...any experiences to share?

Also, I'm thinking about completing it with Randall II 180's and Krypto Classic K 70's in 78a...sound right? Mostly cruising, maybe the occasional hillbomb or parking garage mission...

Thanks!

I have no experience with Sector 9's but some friends of mine skate em' and dig em'. As for the Randalls and krypto's, I have nothing but praise for them. I ride Randall II 150's with kryptonics 65mm 78a. Smooth sailing my friend!

I just think them and Gravity's shapes generally are quite crude.
If you are gonna longboard, the deck should be graceful, as your riding should be, also.
Mass produced, fucked-up shapes run counter to the soul of longboarding...I am not talking about the goons you see at the park, puffing on glass bowls, and wearing hemp jewelry, boosting stinkbug airs...I mean soulriding.
That requires a more personal deck.
IMHO.
Seek the source.

Sector9 makes good, all-around boards. Like Shitty sez, not terribly sexy, but good workable boards. Not a huge fan of their completes (mostly due to the trucks), but the decks are good.

Dregs are made by the same woodshop as S9, but the shapes are a little more refined, and look a little nicer (IMO).

Many thanks to all you who've replied...and Shitty, you're right. I own (and ride) 5 F13 decks; it's been a long time since I rode anything "mass marketed" (well, I DO own a LibTech popsicle or two--lol)

Soooo...Shitty--tell me about your longboard offerings. I already ride the finest wheels available, so in order to properly support the bros, I'd love to get a longboard from you...

New site looks killer, BTW!

Matty,
They're ready to go, just generating $ as fast as I can.
The demand for the Pimp is high...so, it's on the second burner.
The Tejano will be TITS, though.
MY PERSONAL rider?
It's a deck that Skipper made me...215s Ceramics, wood risers my neighbor made me, and Powell 68/85s.
