Ramirez sold out years ago. No better than Fender or Yamaha but a little more expensive. Another option though.
I completely agree that a Ramirez is not much better, but if you go with a Fender or Yamaha you can plan on keeping it for the long haul. Whereas five years down the road when you're ready to upgrade you could still get a $1,000 for a gently used Ramirez, or another Spanish brand. I'm not a fan of Ramirez guitars, I'm just using it as an example cuz most Classical and Flamenco types are very into labels.

Not me, I play cheap Mexican guitars

If you're looking for something affordable then the aforementioned Alvarez Yairi guitars are made in Japan but they're built very well for the money, also Mexican built guitars are solid soulfull instruments w/o breaking the bank.

The first thing that most Classical and Flamenco players learn is that the best Classical and Flamenco guitars come from Spain,
and this might be true but not until you spend big bucks. The difference between Spanish guitars and others is that they tend to hold they're value. If you spent just a little more you could get this Spanish made Jose Ramirez "1NE" towards the bottom of this link for $1,199.00. This is built with quality materials and would definitely hold it's value with the big name...

Sorry for rambling but I would hate to see you spend that kind of money and end up with a laminate piece of crap...

Cool, thanks for that. I'll definitely keep that in mind.
