to start I know next to zip about pressing decks so this might sound sub-moronic but I had to ask...
can recycled wood be used to press new decks...?!
and next question would be could hemp be used as a viable product for a skate deck
just curious and thinking green... thanks all in advance! |

Habitat has made boards with a top layer of hemp, I imagine it's something like fiberglass.
Not sure what you mean by recycled? But I would think not very practical.
You need veneer. To make veneer you peel logs |

just know there are tons of 'composite' products essentially made of 'recycled' wood by product
just trying to think of alternates to wasting good wood
eventually we'll run out of canadian maple |

Disclaimer: I'm not a manufacturer and I don't know shit
Plywood is awesome, it would be tough to improve that basic design
A problem with a composite would be, how does it form structure? And, does it take more energy and bonding agent than un-recycled?
I think there was a truck company that never got off the ground called Green trucks
And soy based wheels have been around for a few years |
