Fuck No. You obviously do not know me. Probalby MM, Stubbs or Slob would win... but those fuckers could not give 1.5 shits about the Meat Puppets... so I guess I will get to eat the tickets when the food cache runs low. |

Yeah, Jeff, that is exactly what they look and sound like ATM.
Previous shows were so fucking loud (louder than Slayer, I kid not...), I had to stuff toilet paper in my ears to survive the sonic onslaught... but this time I came prepped with good earplugs. That was a good move, I could hear every strum, pick and hit. And I could hear afterward... |

Actually, Cris looks 197.42% better and healthier and more alive... Bostrom looks exactly the same, and Curt looks like he and Ben and Jerry and Jack Daniels have been hanging out and jamming late night. |

Hi, I guess this is my intro.
That wasn't Derrick Bostrum, it was Shandon Sahm. I think Derrick just didn't like touring or whatever, no hard feelings or any of that, he still maintains a Pupps website. Shandon's been with them since fall of 2009, he played with them during the Golden Lies era, too. And he was the drummer for Pariah back in the day, on top of that he's got some solo stuff worth grabbing and another album coming out someday when he's not so busy with the Pupps. He's awesome...they had a guy called Ted Marcus from the mid 2000's until Shandon rejoined and the drumming was too lite, IMHO, but Shandon HITS 'em.
His dad was Doug Sahm, that's somebody else worth searching out. Sir Douglas Quintet, Texas Tornados...that guy was the most versatile musician ever, bar none, and there was a lot more to him than "She's About A Mover" and "Mendocino". (Those were great, though.) You can find tons of stuff on youtube. The guy was so versatile, nobody knew how to promote him so he never got the credit he deserved. But he's a legend here in TX. I guess Shandon could ride his coattails but he doesn't, he's been doing his own thing since high school and he rules at it.
Caught me some Pupps April 16th at Waterloo in Austin. Was not disappointed, they always deliver. Went home all smiles with a copy of Rat Farm under my arm. Yeah! |

GIGANTIC apology is in order for Shandon. He was awesome. Sorry Sorry Sorry I got that wrong... I feel like a total ASS.
Curt gets a break for sure. You know the only reason I criticize him is because I am guilty of the same shit! Psychology 101: Projection. |

I guess you win the free ticket!
Do you desire the baloney puppet, the jerky puppet, or the special edition vegan mystery meat puppet? (bacon puppet is gone...) |

Vegan mystery meat puppet. I suspect what happened to Axl involved a lot of BACON. |
