The lady and myself went out the other nite for a bite and came across theses tasty treats.... The tuna melted in your mouth and the wasabi ...lets just say I was caught by surprise...damn it was good! and a little slaw in a ginger soy dressing wasn't too bad either!

One of my favorites!

I've tried to make it at home a couple times, but it never comes out as good as when we eat out. wish i could get it dialed in, so good!

I don't eat meat, fish only so this is a staple into diet (it is pricey but so worth it).
It's so easy to prepare. Crank up your BBQ to max heat and wait until the grill is pretty much as hot as it gets (at least 450 degrees Fahrenheit). Coat both sides of Tuna with extra Virgin olive oil, salt and pepper and the place on grill for one minute per side with the lid closed. You'll end up with perfectly seared steak crispy on the outside and pink inside.

Seared ahi with micro greens is a delight. Love it. Big sushi fan too.

Another excellent option for searing ahi is to place the tuna steaks on a grate that has been set on top of a blazing charcoal chimney starter.
It only takes a few minutes to get going, works better/hotter than a grill & creates very little waste.

I'll have to try that next time I have some tuna.

Best served on top of spring greens—so fucking good!
