can anyone tell me who this is? portraits are always the hardest part of the process. hopefully I'm not too far off with this. If you can tell me who it is, awesome. maybe try to art direct me a little bit to get it closer??? still a little rough in some areas.
Oh and this is being done in zbrush. yeah, this is that 3d technology everyone is buzzing about. I've been working with these programs for about 3 years now and i figure it's time to bring it to my skate sculpts. The plan will be to get this 'printed' . . . as in 3d print. We'll see what happens. Should be interesting. Thanks!

My first thought was Christian Hosoi...but I'm probably way off base. |

That was my first thought too...
But I'm going with Hosoi on steroids. |

lol ok it's supposed to be Hosoi. At least it doesn't look like Oprah so maybe I'm on the right track. interestingly I acutally thought he looked like Swayze while i was working on it. I'm gonna work on it more this weekend. Where do you guys think I went wrong here? How can I get this closer?
also - is there a single iconic pic I could base the pose on? rocket? christ air? what do you think? |
