Hello S&B!
I've been gone for a while ... life... I'm now unemployed and going back to school. I've been doing longboard artwork. My recent thing is taking vintage Star Wars comics and applying them to decks.

If you want to - check out my Etsy Site http://www.etsy.com/shop/BurbSkateboards.

thanks!

Great idea that!

Do me a Eric Stanton one and I'll happily buy it!

That is pretty darn cool. You are aware they make reissue of the comics?

Eric Stanton?

I'll admit I'm not much of a comic junkie. Just a Star Wars fan. This particular board is made from the Marvel Oversize Return of the Jedi comic. I purchased it on the belief that it wasn't a reissue, but not a big deal if it was. The paper certainly seemed old.

I was more into taking something and ripping it apart to make something different. I'm sure it freaks out some comic collectors.

It was kinda weird cutting them up tho.

Yep. Googled it right after I typed it. A little to much with my kids around!

thanks man, same back atcha.

I really do dig it. Not much of a star wars fan but the comic layout is very cool. Havent seen that. I think cmaniac did a deck of a ripped up trasher for a Zorlac show, but this has different vibe kinda star wars lichtenstein

yep - I've always liked the Lichtenstien style ... I'm big into vector-type art too. I'd love to do my own comic, but never really read too many, so I think I'd be out of my league.

I've always loved the use of halftones.
