Back in '86 I bought a Tracker GSD deck that once I saw it I had to have it. I sketched up the design and cut it out of the griptape before pasteing it on, and this is what I did. Because of the thin zone also having wheelwells, and me being so hard on my boards, I broke the deck within one hour of riding it. To say I was pissed is an understatement.
The skateshop I got it from worked it out to send back to Tracker for reimbursement, but I had to send it to them. I wrote a letter saying I wanted it back to hang on my wall, and even sent cash for shipping. They sent it back, and I still have it to this day along with a letter from Tracker Larry himself saying it was the best griptape art he's seen to date.
And in case you're wondering, ever since I was a kid and having shit stolen from me, I put my name on EVERYTHING I own to mark it as mine...even to this day I still mark my stuff.
And the deck to the right is an Alva I got sometime around '07 I think. |

took all that time to grip it, drill it for everything you could add to a deck at the time and then broke it within such a short time span??
what a bummer
rad that you have it still |

You're a grip tape Rainman...
I mean that in a positive, life affirming way. |
