I sold something on ebay back around May 12th, shipped it
with a delivery tracking number, and the buyer still hasn't received it.
The USPS tracking confirmation/tracking thing shows it being received started to migrate but then stops....should have gone from san diego to hawaii but went it went north to richmond ca then stops.
should i re-imburse the buyer for not receiving their item? is the post office liable for losing it? what should i do? |

Send the buyer the tracking number and then go into the post office and talk to them. They can call these places on the phone.
I would wait at least 30 days before refunding unless the buyer is a prick who you think will neg you. |

It's waiting for a plane ride. It'll move soon enough. |

Yep, it's waiting. We (at work) had something going to Guam, and the last stop was Richmond, CA for weeks. I believe USPS considers it lost after 30 working days (Mon. through Fri. using a 5 day week). It sucked waiting, but the customer got it right before the last day and was happy. It sucks waiting, be empathetic to the buyer and remind them that you did ship it, and it's in the hands of the postal service (and thank them for being understanding). |
