This is like one of three things I can stand to watch on the tube. Super rad old man takes road trips all over California.

Huell makes me laugh. Cool old guy with a funny accent.

"hey look at that.... did you EVER see one of those?" (while looking at anything... dirt clod, anything at all... he makes it sound SO unusual.)

Huell is great -

I always thought it woulda been real funny if they did parody of him on Mad TV, seems to me he would be pretty easy to imitate.
It would pretty funny if they did Huell Howser in South Central, or Skid Row, or during the L.A. riots.

Huell does provide alot of comic relief....i liked the episode when he was planting California flags on the 4 "corners" of California and when they got to the southeast corner and were planting a flag some Mexicans where trying to sneak across the border there.....very comical in his whole attitude/response to what was going on.....""hey look at that.... did you EVER see one of those?" (while looking at anything... dirt clod, anything at all... he makes it sound SO unusual.)""

Dude he DID do an episode in "South LA" (the new PC name for South Central) where he just wandered around approaching random locs.

It was rad of course...this lady had to explain to him what "Kicking It" meant. Hearing him try to grasp the concept and say it in an authentic manner was priceless. He also ran into some crazy dude who ushered Huell into his fucked backyard to visit his captive monkey. Best episode ever.

I might have caught part of that one, the one I saw he walked up to a random Roach Coach (lunch truck) at nite and he was trying to talk to random Mexicans but they all just looked confused, it was funny as hell. That's why I thought a parody would be so F'n funny - like during the L.A. riots he walks up to that poor bastard that got dragged out of his truck and tries to interview him while he's get beaten.

Dude creeps me out. Regardless that he's gay he's still creepy. Just that his voice is really strange and his enthusiasm is well overtly gay.
