See, I would've called Hutson or Blackhart, or a 44" oak Sims "vintage."
I was going to put "vintage" in the thread title, but thought that "vintage" would've referred to the 70's type stuff...So, I picked "Old School," since it seemed like an appropriate substitution. |

My first was a solid oak Sims 44" in 1978.
That's Old School.
Still got it? |

I got a 36" flat Logan Earth Ski longboard for $7 when Logan went out of business. I think the year was 1978? Got 2 of their 10x30 vert pigs (laminated) too.
Anyway, I don't have the longboard anymore. Would not be worth anything anyway, as I tried to draw Dogtown graphics all over it. |

I gave it away when I moved to Vegas in 1989, I figured it would never be worth anything. But they're not uncommon on ebay. It really was hard to ride- the width was smallest right before the kicktail..... you needed some serious leverage to swing that nose around. |

There, I fixed the title.
Now, about a bigger pic of the board in question... |

Thanks for making us old guys feel even older..... like when they play Guns n' Roses on the "oldies" radio station.

I hear that! Green Day and Metallica post-Black Album are not classic rock, even though the radio stations around here seem to think so |
