over the years i have come up with a few ghetto drinks. you know the type of drink you mix when you have nothing else around. well two seem to stand out, and one of them i just discovered tonight.
1. makers mark and big red soda mix very well, when you mix it 3 parts big red and 1 part makers mark
2. bacardi coco and jupinia mix excellent together in the same proportions.
now i know big red and jupinia are not common to all places, but big red is a red creme soda. faygo makes something similar. jupinia (pronounced hupinia) is a latin soda produced in miami and probably available in areas with a heavy latin community. it's a pineapple flavored soda.
like i said these are ghetto drink, but darn tasty. i would prefer any beer over them, but when you gotta do what you gotta do.......... |

| one night mixed johnny walker black with some amaretto and thought i was a friggin genious!!! it tasted so good. then i found out that it was a classic old man drink called a godfather. this was before i became a bartender. i was rather disappointed that i had not created something new. |

Beer Gulp: When I was in High School we'd go to the Circle K for lunch, put a can of Schlitz Malt Liquor (un-opened) in a Big Gulp cup, fill the rest w/ soda from the fountain, put the cap on & a straw.
...It's not a mixed drink but it's cheap and when your 16 it's the easiest way to get a can. |

| I'll just stick to my 2 liters of death. Usually a pint of bacardi gold dumped into a 2liter of coke, or a fifth of Bacardi limon in a 2 liter of Mtn. dew or lipton brisk. |

| Heard of the Hitler in the Springtime (Believe Jager and Goldschlager)? Was at my bros bar thinking of the worst drink possible and we fed off the Yeager base...the winner - Dry Gin and Jager...instant vomit. We'd drank a ton, so I'm sure our stomachs were not at their prime, but this was the winner. It also ended up winning Worst Drink in Vegas a few weeks later. He named it "The Gas Chamber"- sorry for any offense...just a drink name. |

My personal favorite: the Laser Beam.
2 parts blue curacao, 1 part Jim Beam.
It turns a radioactive green color, tastes pretty good for easy chugging, and gets chicks very drunk in a hurry. It don't get no mo ghetto than that. |
