Any ideas? The thing is black graphite composite, has a snub nose and a center beam like K-beams. Mounted with Makaha legend trucks and wheels, NMBs. Looks like a low end skate shop setup, graphic is "rad licks" with a bunch of skeletons jamming. Sweet shape 10 1/2" pig.

I have seen 2 or 3 of them on Ebay go for around $20-30.

I think they are kind of unique, but always go for super cheap... not a hot item I guess. I almost grabbed one a while back for $20 on the bay but decided not to. I should of! ugh.

That's pretty much the deal. Rare, but unloved. I think that Makaha squandered their good name during the 70s when they cashed in and sold bad Toy-R-Us crap instead of pushing the envelope with Sims and others.

I remember seeing one of those when I first started skating...in Toys R Us. Must have been around 87-89. It was pretty expensive compared to the other boards in there, but the Variflex boards seemed to be the better option and I went for a 'Spectra'....which was utter shit of course

I remember one day I was at the Del Mar Skate Ranch and a guy came with an 'expiremental' board. I think that it was one of these decks. Anyway, he was asking people to ride it and he kept saying that there was no way that you could break it. This one guy got on it in the little resivour in the front of the park and he was determined to break it. He went up to the parking blocks that were on top of the transistion and did a boneless or something so that he would land in a boardslide on them. The board broke but the guy fell and broke his wrist.

There is one on Ebay now, It's not the Rad Licks one, This one is called The Wall. I don't think that I have seen this one on the bay before. I also have a Rad Licks, just because of the honeycomb design. Seeya, Skateboard Dude

When I first saw it, it was;

Whoa, a beam down the center!
oh, a paper sticker.
Hey, Makaha!
oh, makaha trucks, makaha wheels.
Huh, snub nose!
oh, graphite.
Cool, 10 1/2" pig!
eh, toy store stuff.
Shit, NMBs!
HMMMMMMMMMM.......

Well, it's unique.....

Ahhhhh, the Makaha Rad Licks! That was my first skateboard ever! That thing down the center was nifty until you tried to do a railslide and stopped dead in your tracks.

I've been thinking about trying to get a NOS one, then my "had" collection will be truly complete. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled.
