Love this website and hope that it can keep growing.
On a side note:
I was also signed up on the BDS website for a year and mostly a lurker, I know lots of members on both sites... Only a few posts there and most of my posts were in the For Sale section (after making sure to sign up in the new members section as requested that you do there before being able to post in the For Sale Section).... still was excited to connect with other skateboarders and collectors. Anyhow, I got the verbal thrashing and the "Your just here to sell your Shit- and that is ALL!!!! Go Away, You have no interest in bulldog skates, its products, or its supporters. Just keep posting on SnB!" message...for the 2nd time now.
I am sure clubs are often as much about who they keep out as who they let in (we all want to feel special somewhere)...but I never got that negative vibe here (even when I deserved some Noob status and asked some stupid questions). Anyhow, a special thanks and appreciation to this site and its founders and current+past members (yeah, even you TonyB). Hard to know what acorn seeds rot in the ground vs. turn out to be oak trees at any club....
yeah..I know...you can't pay all your dues with cash...I know being active on the forums helps avoid being seen in the wrong way. But I also know that there is more going on that just how many posts you show (I don't think I can count how many PM's I have with members on both sites for example).
anyhow... I understand there was a policy change on the type of email that works to allow new members. I know I was grandfathered in.... but otherwise would not have been. I hope if that there is a financial cost to allow it back the way it was (to allow more members to come in). then I would like to hear the costs and help raise the money to make it easier to join SnB. If it is a policy issue only, then I may need to post on it elsewhere....(I do appreciate the need to keep out scamers selling items here or putting members at risk).
Anyhow... just an indirect BIG "Thank You!!" to this website.
If there is ever a policy to suggest that sales from the For Sale Section donate 1% of the total sale... I'm in. If there is ever an option to pay a yearly fee for advanced features on the site (more PM storage, more search features, etc...) I am in! If there is just a free donation optioin.... I'm In. If there are stickers you can buy to promote the site and help pay for stuff.... I'm in! If someone wants to write a phone app for the SnB site... I'm In. If there is a museum that is on wheels and goes from town to town to promote more skate parks or some fund raising effort I would loan out my entire collection of 250 decks to be part of it.... and get other members to join in too.... I'm In, ALL in.

| We'll be doing a major software update soon and that will allow us to again accept webmail for registrations. We're still testing it at the moment. |
