Progress Report:
Getting there, even on those days when it was Hot As Fuck!!!
119 degrees heat index Mon-Wed last week...
Kinda stupid to work in heat like that, but gotta get this job done!!!
Should be done in two weeks... There's just three of us on this build.

| wow that's a lot of work for a small crew. Are you guys sleeping on site in the camper? how many sheets of skatelite will there be and will you predrill it all? |

One of the local skater's dad owns a hotel a few blocks from the job-site, so we got a good deal on a room. The camper is one of our guy's house basically, so he just uses the shower after work and then either posts up at the job-site or kicks it at a campground.
The Minnesota Vikings start training camp here next week and all the hotels hiked their prices and are booked, so we are stoked that we got our little deal going and already pre-booked before all the fans and agents take over the city....
I think Mankato makes 5 million bucks because of Vikes training season.
As far as skatelite goes we have 140 sheets for this park. We'll set out a pattern and countersink with a couple plunge routers which should take maybe two days tops...
CNC router-ing is another option but is just really f'in expensive and we'd rather make that $ ourselves than give it to somebody else.
Work is work and you wanna make as much as you can if you can...
But hhen its all done its TIME TO SKATE!!!

Ok... I have some pictures of the mostly finished park...
Glad to be done with this one!
These pics were taken as the metal was getting painted and before the flat rail and down rail got added on the bump to bump and double down.
Next project is in the works.... |
