Hey dudes. Been a little while. I've been sooo busy. I apologize once again for the delays with the Dave Hackett sculptures. No one is more frustrated with that than I am. Basically I had to re-design the mounting point on the sculpture because the one I sent to Dave was destroyed by the shipping carrier. And it cost me 50$ to ship it. Major bummer. I think I have the situation sorted out now however and I will be shipping Dave his SECOND copy next week. Ugh. In the meantime, thanks to DeafDan, I got in touch with Mike Brooke at Concrete Wave and I was commissioned to do a sculpture for the 2011 buyers guide. Mike was really nice to work with and he gave me a big opportunity. I'm happy I was able to fulfill his expectations. Of course Mike was the art director on this project so there were a few things I probably wouldn't have done with the piece. (mainly the helmet and the longboard in transition) Alas that is the draw back of working with a client. You have to make them happy. I'm not 'looking a gift horse in the mouth' though. I had fun doing this thing and it came out better than I thought it would.
PS - Anyone gonna go to that 1 in 91 art benefit in Venice Ca? My Gonz sculpture is gonna be auctioned off.

Yeah I have seen the face of that sculpt on the concrete wave app.
I knew it was you just waiting to see a full shot of the figure!

Looks good.

I hope to buy one of these sculpts from you one day!

I actually like the helmet (reminds me of my fullear Protec I wear). Awesome work, but yeah, would have been better with an old pig instead of the longboard. Glad you got paid

When Michael posted a teaser shot of this piece on Facebok....I knew right away that it was your work. Another epic piece. I'm hoping for one of your Hacketts also...

It would be cool is there were a defect or two on the sculpture, just to prove that you are in fact human....

Simply amazing.

I saw this in the buyers guide. So crip. Great work. Whats rad is you know who did it the second you see it. I just sent out some original inkings to the 1-91 auction. Mark from Indy included a few items as well, some nice stuff I think. I'm not in so cal so I won't be at the event but curious to see how much they raise. Hope they like what I sent. Rad that your involved. Good on you!
