Hey guys,
I'm going to be in LA for a wedding in June. But, after that, I'm driving north to the SLO/Pismo area for a few days. I've got LA and SLO pretty mapped out as far as food goes. And, because of wedding constraints, LA dining might be a bust. But, can anyone suggest any good independent places to dine at along the way north? I'm not that familiar with Santa Barbara, Oxnard, Lompoc, etc... Any suggestions would be rad. And hey, any new places in SLO that I need to know about? Bring 'em on.

I haven't been for a while, but I go when I can. Try the empanadas (every flavor is good), chicken milanesa and panqueques con dulce de leche, then take a long nap.

Definitely check out the Firestone brewery, if only to stop for lunch or dinner. It's on the 101, located just outside Solvang. If you like wheat beers, try their Solace. They might also have some Velvet Merlin in stock.

All of this looks rad! Thanks so much. Yeah, Mrs. Zodiac wants to check out Solvang. So, the Firestone brewery sounds like a plan.
