The 1978 best-selling Swedish skateboard brand has re-launched to the market with both new and classic shapes.

Background New Sport
New Sport was an skateboardmanufacturer founded in the late 70's. 1978 hey opened Scandinavia´s first indoor skatepark, called New Sport House. Among the team riders were the Swedish skateboard legend Tony "T-Mag" Magnusson and Per 'Perre' Viking.

- "The idea to re-launch of the brand was born while I saw "Sparken" (concrete park in Umeå) grow up and desire to start riding again became stronger. Me and several of my friends were looking for something that was a bit more old school."
Says Ulf Gustavsson, head of the re-launch

Re-launch of Flux Shop
As of Thursday, 23 / 9 until the end of October visit Flux Shop to see our boards and clothing.

Original collection of boards:
Booster (Wide Board / Park Board)
Trigger (Advanced Wide board / Park Board)
Carver (Wide Board / Board-round)
Cruiser (Longboard)
Pipe Fokker (Allround Board)
Freestyle (Trick / Freestyle)
Ramp Rider (Allround Board)

The clothing is printed by hand in Umeå with health-and environment-friendly screenprinting technics. The boards are hand made from birch laminate as the original. The clothes and boards will after October primarily be sold through a select few stores.

Great work... Sounds like a lot of good times to be had.

The name is different, "new sport" sort of reminds me of a sports shop name.

Good luck.

Cheers
Taras

New Sport 2
New Sport 3
New Sport 4

Coincidently all the same deck models listed above.

The last brand on the planet I expected to see re-issued.

Hey, that's some cool stuff!

Are you running the site?
If yes, just one remark about the SKF / Calypso trucks: They were copied from some old Bahne steel trucks.
Some wheels just look like old Powell Bones wheels; not the red ones on the usual decks you see.
I have some NOS red/orange wheels, but they are cracked...!
Forum member Bernhard was also on the SKF team, and he still works at SKF in Schweinfurt.
