I'm on the priaries of Canada and can't find poblano peppers at any grocery store up here.
I have a recepie for green chorizo that I want to try out and I need poblano peppers to roast or have grilled.
Is there anything that will get me close to grilled poblano? I have canned chipotle peppers available, but those may be too smoky. Sometimes I hate living in the middle of Canada. |

The Hudderites at the market only have regular bells and sweet bananas if I'm lucky. The other vendors have nothing. I scour the farmer's market every Saturday for peppers to pickle and no dice so I come home with perogies and saskatoon pie instead. I did grow some jalapenos this year but next summer I'll grow poblanos.
I'll improvise and use the chipotles if I come up empty handed.
Come to think of it, a new organic market opened up so I'll give that place a whirl. |

I have a Iberia Hybrid plant that is a great Poblano.
Saving seeds for a few others here, I will put you on the list!
It just happens to be taco night. |

Tiki will hook you up right. He sent me several varieties, one so hot it will strip paint. You need to wear gloves to work them. |

Cool. Thanks Tiki. Sometimes it is hard to find what one thinks are the simple things. Our grocery stores are the shits here. |
