Dude, half the summer's over- you gonna get on this thing? The more you drag your feet, the more time you lose.

End of the summer, rent a water truck, got to the local city water filling station, and DIY. That Pool filling company's price is out of line for a pool like that- I'm sure they would do a "professional" job, but by the looks of things- you don't need a pro job.

That, or a garden hose. Choose or lose. I mean, you wanna sit here, in Nov. thinkin' "Geez, I could have skated that pool all summer- no park-scene, no razor scooters, no bmxicans, it could have been awesome..."

The owner is out of line, it's not filled with clean water right now, he's getting a deal just to get you to clean it out.
Asking you to clean it and refill with clean water is ridiculous.

Offer them a flat of beers and I bet that would work just fine.

Yep, the homeowner is trying to get as much out of you as he can. He wants you to drain it, mow the yard all summer and then fill it.

You're doing him the favor. Two words, Mosquito abatement. The city and neighbors will thank you.

Work a better deal!

I'd tell the guy you're willing to clean it for free to keep him from getting fined for having such a health hazard in his yard, otherwise you'll have to report him.
