I am 38. I begged and begged for a Sims Jeff Phillips "Bust Out/Break Out" and Christmas of 1986, it was under the tree. Just the deck. Black, purple, pink, some yellow, green lettering color scheme. Within the next few months, my mom would take me to the skate shop in Dayton, Ohio and we'd outfit it. Bright green, Gullwing Phonenix trucks. Ribs, nose bone, bird, various stickers, truck guards (what's the real name of those things?) My wife got pregnant in 2005, thought I needed to sell everything, including this board. Sold it on ebay, July 2005. DAMN!!!!!! For the past week, I have been obsessing with finding this board or reproducing it. I contacted the person that bought it from me on ebay and he informed me last night that he traded it to another collector. They are both in FL. He is going to try and get me his contact info. I showed my 4 year old son pics of this board and now he wants me to get it back too!

Not obsessed at all. I have all 35 decks that I own because I need them. |

I'd love an NOS just like that. The exact same colourway pictured (mine was more lavender than pink for the fade) was my very first pro deck, except I had red trackers, lavender Schmitt type 1 rails and some Kryptonics CSI wheels and then bought some blue OJ II's for it. I miss that deck and I snapped that fucker trying to do a caveman slide. |
