I was wondering if anyone out there can help me out. I recently (like dunbsh*t) purchased on older Blockhead vid on ebay from a guy in the UK. No where did it say anything about it being a PAL (?) tape. I am unfamiliar with these - does anyone have info on how to convert these or what?
Any help would be big.

You've got a couple choices.
There are dual mode vcr's out there...they are rare to find and expensive.
Or you can take it to a transfer house (places that dupe tapes, do video production etc.) and they might be able to transfer it. Usually you will find people with the equipment to do it in large cities only.
It will be expensive either way. |

doh. thats gotta suck... but also youve gotta remember that its only the USA and japan that use NTSC... pretty much everyone else in the world uses PAL!
uh-huh. never assume anything these days. its like when i'm buying videos from the US. american sellers never say that its NTSC... they just assume that we know and that we have the same thing. |

the dual play videos are cheap here in the UK I got one for about the price of a deck(�60) as I was fed up paying �15 a time to get tapes converted
So I would imagine like everyting they would be cheaper in the states
ie petrol is $1.06 a litre in the UK
