Ok guys here of late me and a few friends have been exploring more hills, not a lot to chose from here on pancake island but we have fun.
My question is this, what wheels are you guys riding and which do you like the best.
The hills here are pretty slow so keep this in mind.
I want something that is grippy but fast as hell..
Any recommendations will be helpful and appreciated. |

i've got the 76mm 82a earthwing superballs on my board, but i think they're called something stupid like "garage bomber" wheels now due to being discontinued and then re-issued (for lack of a better word). i've also used seismic's blastwaves, but those are a bit pricey. my all-time favorite downhill wheels though are 81a flywheels. to me, the 81a abec11 urethane is spot-on for ride quality, speed, and grip. although, all the cool kids are riding things like orangatang freerider wheels, abec11 freerides, venom street slashers, and landyachtz zombies. |

anything by Abec11, even the cheap chinese kryptonic copies work well. make sure the wheels are soft (low Duro arount 80-90) and large 70mm or more |

Cool, at least I am on the right track.
I was looking at some Retro Freerides, they look like a pretty decent all around wheel.
But I will definitely look at some of the other suggestions as well, I want something that will be a long lasting, dual purpose wheel. |

I'll never ride Seismic's greasy urethane again. The only time I've ever eaten shit racing was on Seismics—rear broke free and back flipped me onto my head.
My opinion has nothing to do with Dan Gesmer being gay.

I dunno if they're still made or not, but I'm riding some Retro Zigzags and they're fast and really, really grippy. Difficult to get them to break loose even when you want to. They looked like this when new:

Retro Zig Zags are fantastic. Great wheel. I rode them until the Alligators debuted. I probably have 10 sets sitting around. |

my opinion for grippy but fast as hell goes out to some Abec11 78a 83mm Flywheels with some Abec11 built-n bearings |
