If you go to restaraunt.com you can get a $25 for 2.50, it's a great deal. What pisses me off is the restaurants always sneer at you when you use them. They just shouldn't participate in the promotion if they're going to get all pissed

I believe they sneer because people tip off the discounted total...not the pre-coupon total. Usually it's wait staff sneering, not owners/managers.

Same thing happens when you split a meal. Never say "split", say "share". Don't know why, but it seems to be better received...which is important unless you like the taste of spit or boogers.

Always treat people who handle your food with respect.

Theres a chineese place in town that always has coupons, but if you use them you get what you pay for, usually skimp out on whatever it is you order to make back what they lost on the coupon.

Exactly. The same amount of labor goes into the preparation and service of your meal, regardless of the discount on the coupon. Tip accordingly. We remember the ones who do not. We remember.

GOB, I think you're right but actually it's been owner/manager's both times it's happened. I'm a generous tipper too, so that's not a problem. but it's gay to participate in the program then get pissed if someone actually uses it.

That is weird. I've had servers give me the stink eye, but never brass.

My brother in law is an ass to restaurant people. Treats everyone like he's Henry the VIII or something. Completely mortifying to be in public with him. I take great satisfaction in the amount of bodily fluids he's undoubtedly ingested.

I used to be a good tipper at my constant haunts, but it always inevitably gets to be expected instead of appreciated and service starts sucking...somewhere along the way people got shitty memories, so I'm not sure on the "remembering" part. I've succumbed to the 15% line unless something stands out.

Have always tipped on actual cost if using a coupon.

You should always tip at the pre-coupon rate of the meal.

My M-I-L is the same way. I have told her on numerous occasions, "I don't care if they spit in your food, but what if they mix up our orders?! CHILL OUT."
