nice! (ribs are always smoked best when the top layer looks like jerkey)

hows the JD bbq sauce? my buddy got one of the marinade bags and we did some strip steak in it and it turned out bomb!

JD sauce was alright. I usually go for Bullseye but there store was out of them. I usually dip my ribs in the BBQ sauce and the JD felt a little "thin". I think it'll work great for marinating though, which I'm gonna try next with it I guess.

It looked pretty good until I saw the sauce. I think I would have to go without rather than use that stuff.

I am from the BBQ Capitol (Kansas City) so I guess I'm a snob about my sauce....

Nice meat though...

The smoker is gift from Oklahoma.
It's kinda hard to find good BBQ sauce here in Germany, so I took what I could get.

The Reids are good friends to give you a Smoker.

German BBQ...who'd a thunk?

Kansas City BBQ? It's cute. Too much brown sugar for my tastes.

You're more on the vinegar side? It's fun building sauces, though I typically prefer dry anway.

GOB, I came across some pics of my last Houston trip, which included a bbq tour. Some good shit...including a shack in the middle of the Sam Houston forest. Will post them later...

Los Angeles bbq is awful - Seattle had better places...I prefer to clay pot a pork roast pour some cheap ass kraft sauce on it, my slaw and bun than go out.

NO SAUCE

If it's cooked right, you don't need it.

Oddly though I FUCKING CRAVE A1 Steak Sauce on steaks, from the finest cut on down.

i really like vinagary sauces for BBQ.

if you can find it go get some Bone Suckin' Sauce. its some of the hands down tastiest premade sauce for all kinda meats, dippin, veggies, etc!
