I have a deal for SC Jessee Sundgod & SC OBrien Reaper for 532$ shipped. He just wants to pay 332$ before shipping and the rest after receipt, cause he doesnt know me.
What do you think about that?
Does that sound serious to you?
Has anybody sold him somthing or knows him?

I have.
I am not sure about the "Don't know you" shit....I wouldn't like the implications...however, have dealt with Geoff, and he was super prompt, and really friendly...for what it's worth.
Perhaps y'all can talk on the phone, and feel a greater level of comfort...I think Geoff would probably understand your position, especially, if y'all had some common friends....He doesn't seem like a dude who would burn ya, so, just see what his issues are, sounds like he got scorched previously...and you should have a deal.
Nice decks, BTW.
Good luck. |

Give him references to check. A good Ebay feedback rating or if you've done trades here on the forum, use some of us as references.
Either way, it's a lot of loot and you shouldn't send the decks without total payment. That's pretty standard as far as I'm concerned.
The guy is sending you a lot of cash; make him feel better about trusting you. Send him a link to this thread.

I don't mean to be an asshole but $500+ to Germany just seems a little sketchy. If I was through ebay or you lived in Cali or just not so much money, I wouldnt think twice. I dont want to take all the risk. I dont have any form of recourse with a private sale from Germany. I really want an O'Brian reaper but Ill just have to wait to get one from someone in the states. Thanks for you time and e-mails and sorry about any inconvenience. |

P.S. I never said any thing that had any negative implications. |

dude. leifs cool. he wouldnt have stood you up.
you should have taken the deal. it was a good one. oh well, too late now by the looks of it.
theres a large amount of trust in buying and selling decks. if you dont have trust, dont bother. |

P.S. by telling him you dont want to pay him the full amount until you have the decks, is saying you dont trust him, which has the most negative of implications when youre trying to nail down a deal which is essentially based on mutual trust. |
