www.breakinggroundskateparks.com is foremost as far as regional builders go. Their website is kinda beat, but the proof is in the product.
also, Jeff Paprocki is building some killer smaller scale concrete parks in the area, but I don't think he's got a website yet. Either way, I have his number if you want it.
Then there's the national players like Team Pain, California Skateparks, Grindline ... all who have already have worked in CT.
The best way to convince your guy is to take him (or her) to a few skateparks. For example, you could go to Wethersfield and Cromwell. They are nearby, similar budgets (Cromwell was $140K, Wethersfield was $150K). Cromwell is prefab on asphalt, Wethersfield in design-build concrete. |

Jeff's latest park is in Dayville Ct just west of Rt395 on Rt101
...Something I have seen in many locations, Prefab parks are only skated because there is nothing else (Newport RI, Naragansett), well designed concrete parks attract people (Jamestown, WhiteRock, Groton). A good park is as much a tourist draw as a good restaurant.
related news....Jeff was in the new 7ply recently talking about building a park in Voluntown this summer |
