anyone ever use 2700 to print on nylon coach jackets? I would assume it would be ok. just have to be REAL careful. Do the split seam thing to print and then air dry. Just thought I'd ask if it's been done. If so any suggestions (mesh count/ retarder or not)?
thx!! |

2700 does not stick.
coaches jackets are nylon,
so you need a plastisol with a nylon adhesive additive. |

the additive for nylon is not that hard to work with.
just add a small amount based on the directions.
the ink you mix should be close to what you will use.
the additive will harden the ink, cant be saved.
also dont let it dry in the screen. |

What he said. The stuff I use with plastisol inks is called "Nylabond" and it only takes a little bit.
Don't let that shit dry in the screen or you'll have to re-mesh it. |

i print nylon jackets quite a bit.
like they said, nylon additive with plastisol ink. the stuff i use makes the ink more runny but if you let it sit for 20 min it'll thicken a bit. i find this gives a crisper print.
i do find multiple colors to be tricky though. i've tried 3 color prints but that was pushing it for me. 2 color prints usually work out for me. |

Also know that if the coaches jackets that you are planning on printing have a liner in them, you'll need a jacket platen. It clamps down on the jacket so there isn't movement between the liner and the outer shell.
If it's a one-color print, you can probably get away without one. If it's multi, you'll need it. |
