The June 12 date was not made, but its real close to being done. Coping has been delivered and layers are being added. Its absolutely insane to watch this thing being built. Every rib and plywood layer piece has to be individually and custom cut to fit on the roller and corners. It looks like a cement bowl made out of wood.
For all you guys that used to skate the EP bowl all the time, here's your new indoor replacement. |

| yep - it's the wood that gets me going. went by today. see you guys in august...cuz they are quite a way off from finishing. but it looks F'N INSANE!!!! CAN'T WAIT!!!!!! |

holy shit its Eric  I have to disagree on janes addiction though.. I saw them last week with Karen when they played with nine inch nails and I thought the band was great but Perry was horrible.. the best part was the slow motion bottle that hit him in the face

@ jkelly - I heard the same thing, but I'll back fox26 in saying Jane's ripped it up. I think playing opposite NIN isn't so good for Perry. Last night he came out to play the last song with Tom Morrello (his band's not bad, tried a little too hard) but went nuts straight out of gate. Navarro was awesome - I've only seen him on the original Nothing's Shocking tour and he was not sharp at all (probably on the shit!). Last night he played better than I've ever heard, even in studio.
Perry's always been a freak, but I think he might just play better as a headliner - who knows. |

Actually...June 26th is the bowl jam/grand opening of the bowl. So dust off those kneepads you old guys.
Oh and some friends and I were going to skate the white banks at the Oakdale, but Jane's Addiction ruined that. Bastards. |

I believe before I said that the bowl jam was June 26th, but its July 26th. There will however, be an 18+ skate jam on the 21st of June (Go Skate Day) at night. Not sure on the time yet though. Probably around 8.
