i know this is "hardcore punk",but i believe that punk sucked ass for a long,long time.growing up my "punk" music was hip hop.best concert i've ever been to was public enemy/p.r.t./ice cube/and fucking kid rock before he ever had an album.this was back when hip hop wasn't safe for white kids.hip hop sucks ass now and there are a few legit punks out there.funny how shit comes and goes.
best punk show was suicide machines at the euclid tavern,next night snapcase.
downset/earth crisis/tree/madball show ruled.i used to go see any and every h.c. show i could in my younger days.
clevo used to have a killer scene musically.pressure point/scuzmonkey/disengage/frans/flintrubblebubblecakes.damn i miss those days.
this summer my homie from s.d. is gonna come up and we're gonna lay down an e.p. of real hip hop.should i dare expose it to y'alls?

Karl Alvarez was playing a Les Paul?
The Descendents have ripped my world since first seeing them in the mid 80's throughout the Everything Sucks tour...HOWEVER when I saw DRI and then the next day saw the Bad Brains- my life changed as I suspect my eye socket...biggest shiner of my life. |

@Nervous
that was a bass right? I'm no guitar expert, but I didn't know there were Les Paul basses and Karl definitely play bass. |

Yeah, Milo sand for a band called Milestone while he was in college in SD. They have a disc out that is a recording of them playing live in a radio studio. Not too bad. The highlight for me was them playing the song "Just Like Them" which later appeared on ALL's "Allroy Saves". |
