Nick step away from the keyboard cause you dont seem to be doing yourself a service. Unless its your intention to go on about some issue from 6 years ago while you appear to grind some axe you have against Kray.
For what its worth I like Krays art/skateboards and own a few cause I like the artwork. He has his own stlye and it appeals to me (admittedly his works need more skulls you can never have enough skulls etc...  )
Present your work to the S&B public Nick, let it speak for itself and stand on its own merits. you never know, If I like it I might buy one.
please let this issue stay with the past mate |

BTW, I have posted several original pieces here and on the BDS site in the past and members here and there have enjoyed them.
I just get a little bent when some complete loser tries to crucify me over $20 dollars.
Did I get the boot from BDS ? yes I did,
but it had absolutely nothing to do with those boards I made.
The funny thing is over here Kray runs his fucking mouth like chihuahua,
but over on BDS he's like a pussy cat cuz he knows nobody would put up with his bullshit..

a few minutes ago there was put up on ebay a mini Metallica Zorlac skull and bones version NOS deck for sale. Creeping Death, an SnB member here just sent me the link and pointed out this seems to be a fake. Guy is asking $1,000 Bid or $1,500 BIN with no returns (no real details listed other than 1988 zorlac) and of course "no returns". I am fishing for details from him by email as maybe he has no idea it is a fake or might be trying to pull a fast one. Either way I have to assume he paid a lot less for this deck and trying to turn a fast buck.

here is what the deck should look like:
my deck with cactus lettering...note real zorlacs have words of Metallica over the skull and bones print
deck shape looks right to me....colors on stain look good...the printing looks bad. the Metallica lettering should be on top and colors on printing look off... I guess don't use paypal gift on this one... $1k-$1.5k ouch!!
Update: He pulled it off ebay now...I did get 4 other zorlac/metallica fans to chime in and the feeling at the moment is that it is a fake. Owner of the fake sent me to www.pusfan.com to see boards just like it...I sent him back and asked him to show me One deck that matches his....He had to agree with me.
Here is just one zorlac fan's comments on it who has a similar zorlac deck...why he thinks it is a fake. Thanks Honkey (you my friend are a true artist).
Hey man! I'm gonna call bullshit on that. Mine is exactly like all of yours, and everyone i've ever seen.
1. the metallica logo on mine: the black color (on the whole graphic) is one screen (not printed over the other black). So i know for sure that the whole graphic has been completely re-color separated. Note the white flames coming off of the bottom of the skull is completely different than ours. Which affirms color seperation redo.
2. Every single real one (i've seen) has the brownish fade streak in the middle of the orange.
3. The smoke background on ours is is a fade from green on the left to blue on the right. That one is just solid gray.
4. Ours doesnt have that white copyright thingy under the smoke on the right.
5. The stain looks way to solid compared to ours, that's telling me it wasn't stained at all like the real ones.
6. Notice the brown on the skull. It looks darker on the top and kinda sqiggly.
And everything you said i completely agree with. I'd like to see the top graphic on that one as well.
The shape is the only thing that looks right.
It could be a test print or something like that, but i'd bet my right nut that one is a fake. And the price, and no return thing just tops it off for me.
Newton would be the only one that would know for sure. But I'm calling complete fake. I could be wrong, but that board looks wrong. |

...more details on the "fake" ebay metallica zorlac Snb deck....
Owner of the deck did confirm he purchased the deck himself and in 1988 to me by email. He said he purchased 2 stickers at the same time in 1988, but can not recall the name of the skate shop in Myrtle Beach , he got it from. I found it Crazy Odd that IF it is a fake (and I think it is), then why would Anyone make fake zorlacs in 1988...when you could buy a real one for $35 or less. I was thinking maybe this owner heard a story from some other owner and said it was his story...? No reason to make a fake in 1988, but $1,000 to $1,500 reasons to make up a fake today.....something fishy going on for me. I am guessing the zorlac fans here would spot the fake, but the rumor on why these Metallica zorlac's have skyrocketed in value recently is due to the Metallica fans buying them up also and not sure the Metallica fans would spot it quite as fast (just my theory).
Anyhow...this bootlegg copy or one off fake sold as a collector's original item for 30x-45x its original cost does to me seem like something worth getting upset about or shutting down (even in this buyer beware world we live in now with eBay). For me just another value of investing time in this forum or thread. |
