I've been known to roll my own....
Eyetalian sausage in that pic, but I make bratwurst come football season. Simmered in beer with some onions, garlic, and maybe a jalapeno until the beer reduces down to a syrup, grill 'em up for a couple of minutes, then onto a poppyseed roll with some stoneground mustard and kraut (optional).
If you're using Johnsonvilles or store bought brats, 1 beer, one coarse chopped onion, two cloves of garlic and a chopped jalapeno for every 5 pack of brats. Takes a half hour or so on medium to cook it all down, turn 'em a few times. |
