I'm riding a Santa Cruz Tom Knox Straight Edge deck 1991 model with New Indy 159's and Slime Balls. One of the best decks ever.

Did it! Just got done cutting the shape I was talking about before. It's a wee bit uneven, but barely noticeable and totally functional. I even rounded and smoothed the edges - it looks a lot like that old Blockhead Simple Simon. I can't wait to skate the park this weekend and confuse all the cursed ankle-biters:
"What kind of board is that?"
"It's a fuckin' wooden one you little brat!"
(awkward pause)
"Are you sponsored?" |

LMAO @ Clay
I know where you're coming from bro. The little kick flippin' popsicle stick pickin' nerf herders see my Alva T.A. Longboard and go "ooooh, oldschool... is that an AWA?" |

man,
i feel like any board i step on is the same.I think chapman(zoo york, chapman) out of new york make great solid decks. But shit, ill go from a anti-hero to a baker to a blind to a black label to a toy machine.Boards last me like 3 weeks. Some spary paint covers up the graphics pretty nicely....i agree the lance conklin is a great shape.I have two and ive been thinking about setting one up.Its so wide it looks like it would feel clumsy though.I skated so many conklins and powell heirogliphics decks back in the day its silly.....

I am currntly riding a sratched Vallely Elephant that I scored on e-bay for $15. I have it set up with Gullwing Sidewinders and original Cross Bones. It is one helluva rider.

Just mounting up a Z-Flex Everslick dual-kick blank that I just finished shaping: 10 1/4 X 33 w/ 18' wheel-base with Powell rib bones. Of course, it's got Indy 169 Stage II's and.... what wheels should I put on this mother.... hmmm... think I'll go with the ALVA's.
.... oh yah!
