STINKBUG!
Bro tip:
It's generally easier to pop up from a slide like that when you grab tuck-knee. |

Not setup the way I've been riding them, I was doing a mix-and-match to try out different trucks/wheel combos on different decks,
but you get the idea.

After using the same deck for three years as both a carver, a DH, and general longboarding, I finaly got it geared up as a dedicated DH board....Indeesz w/Venom barrels and Eliminators, and Big Zigs 83A.
I know that most downhill boards use RKP trucks, but after riding these Indeesz for a while, I don't know..... I'm just not as keen on RKP's as most skaters. Sure, there not as stable over 40 mph, but I'm not planning on going that fast for now. |

I got'sk a few longboards. The first pics show my 36" Alva pool deck, which is a decent cruiser on the street. The middle is a Gravity Ed Economy 57". The deck to the right is my all time favorite cruiser, a 43.5" Polwell No Ka Oi, I got in the late '90s. It's fast, smooth, lots of footroom, and carves on a dime. I like my trucks loose and have cushy bushings which sometimes serves me up wheel bite, but I don't care cause this board goes anywhere.
I have the Powell setup with ultralight baseplate Trackers and 70mm red Kryptonics I've had since the mid-80's. Wish I could remember the name of the riser pads as they are oversize and made to help keep decks from breaking. This deck has seen so much action I'm surprised it's lasted this long, and as it shows I've had to replace some worn out griptape.
My Street Rider is setup with ABEC 11 76mm Gumballs and Randall RIIs. Can't say I like it for cruising on flat because it's a lead sled, but if there's a downhill grade, that baby goes. It's got flex to the max, like riding a wooden trampoline.
You're right, Titletownjeff, those pics sucked. But no rippin on the walls and carpet!!!!!!!! |
