The best purchase this year was today's purchase of this year's Cramps release Fiends of Dope Island. Holy sweet shit, this is the filthiest sounding album I have heard in a long time. It sounds like Link Wray produced it or something with so much oozing reverb and bass heavy growls it makes your inner gutty works rumble. Fuck, this is the best Cramps in a long while. Very dirty rock and roll. Sweaty ass, grinding on a sheatless mattress with your honey, shake yer ass in my face, dirty rock and roll. With tune titles like Elvis Fucking Christ and Calling Dr. Fucker, Lux, Ivy and crew relegate themselves to no radio or MTV support and the revel in it. So do I. Get this cd.

Los Olvidados. I've seen the name spray-painted on a ramp in the Savannah Slamma video since the 80s. I can't believe how good that album is. SK8 punk's best kept secret! |

I gotta agree with Cramps and Los Olividados. Throw Smogtown's "Tales Of Gross Polution" in there too. |
