Just found my old Cometbus Omnibus book in my storage space. I'm sucked back in. Those Cometbus zines felt like my generation's Kerouac. |

I’ve always been interested in that possibility ^^^^^^^
I’ve been thumbing through some old books from the 70s 80s and 90s.
Amazing how Joe Rogan got fame and fortune from spruiking other peoples ideas from 30,40 and 50 years ago.

Wow! That's a find! I met him once in VFW hall in King City, CA. We were on tour with Dillinger Four and he was traveling with them. He was carrying around a coffee maker and made us all coffee. Sweet guy. King City smelled like onions. 2 guys tried to steal some of our equipment after the show. |

IDK what we were thinking... I guess back then we took whatever show was available to us. The dang venue was in the middle of an onion field.
We played in the middle of a cornfield in PA once. I mean literally IN THE MIDDLE OF A CORNFIELD. Promoter showed up with a genny and walked us into a clearing. It was an amazing show. Places like that are just stoked to get someone from out of town to play. It was in 95. |
