I've never had any luck with the 'bottle in hole' method. All I ended up with was a mangled watermelon, a few bites of vodka-ish tasting watermelon, and a hell of a mess in my kitchen.
Yeah, the same happened to me too.
I/we found it was best if you can cut a reservoir into the melon and stand it up on end.
There was still some run off but the melon seemed to soak up a good deal.
Also... This was on a holiday (the 4th) so the alcohol intake was pretty high by the time we even got to the melon, maybe there was not as much booze in it as we thought.?.?.? |

| Hey evereyone....Just wanted to thank you for helping out....we went with the killer jello shots....and the Sherbert recipe...except we went with lime and Patron...had a sample of that just now and thats a keeper.........Thanks Again...Jeff |
