This isn't about Chicago vs. NYC vs. where-the-hell-ever pizza styles.......this is about LASAGNA PIZZA!!!!! Try it out made to whatever style you like!
I made a pizza for TGM once called "The Tower". It contains a pasta dinner in pizza form. Double thick crust, garlic butter, choice of pasta (I made his with mostociolli), meatballs (or sliced sausage), mozzerella cheese, and sliced tomatoes covered in Romano cheese.
*Edit*
I agree with TGM, deep dish chicago style, especially from Gino's east with pattied sausage is the best pizza on earth. |

I'm currently experimenting with a number of different weird pizzas of the large nature. One being a thick crust pizza with ranch as sauce topped with seasoned potato wedges. Also a sloppy joe pizza of some sort. |

I've had baked ziti pizza here before. If you like the corners of lasagna and baked ziti that's basically what it's like. The noodles get crispy. Pretty damn good.
I enjoy a good deep dish pizza once in a blue moon, too much bread for my taste though.
You haven't had real NY pizza unless you've had one of these:
Lombardi's
Grimaldi's
DeMarco's
John's
Totonno's

Crap.....we talk about this and now Domino's release their "Lasagna Pizza"....trust me....it is no where near the same as the one I had at NYPD (ie. no meatballs thin sliced like pepperoni's...no real ricotta...etc). I couldn't believe it when I saw that commercial....and friggin annoying Queen Latifa doing the voice-over too. Ugg. |

Pizza Hut has a "Lasagna Pizza" now too. At least around here they do. |
