Shitbird doesn't do his decks at ABC, Amorone. He considered it, but passed. Back in the box, codemonkey! No more peanuts for you!!
I'd discuss it more, but it looks like Jadams is experiencing an emotional rollercoaster and may need some assistance. |

@Slob
....and remember, I am *THE* Acme collector.....I have a long standing respect for Jim (his skating and attitude). He actually helped me with my zine a long time ago, hooked an Atlanta pal up on Acme and kept in contact a few times over the years. The first time I met Jim was during some lame Gotcha tour with Lester Kasai...after their demo, he and Lester came and skated our vert ramp with us the rest of the afternoon (Zodiac13 should remember that). He was so cool and nice. From that day on, I had tons of respect for JG. I skated Acme decks exclusively from the time he started the company till the mid-90's...so yes, I do know a thing or 3 about the quality of ABC's products.

I'm all too aware of your unhealthy fetish for young, sleezy, scantilly clad cartoon girls on skateboard decks, Amorone
The quality of Jim's wood has increased markedly this year. It was like cutting rock. |

Out of sheer ignorance, does anyone have a scan of the ad that dissed World Industries, or at least, does anyone know what they said that would make Rocco sue Jim Gray??? |

Nice, rigmort, nice.
I've been talking to Jim ever since Conscience made the China Bear deck. He's a really cool guy. He's totally right about the labeling issue and others should abide. I noticed that George Powell has with his price point decks.
I've asked Jim about the World Ad because I too am curious what it was all about. He said he'd look for it, but I still haven't gotten to see it. Perhaps part of his settlement with World was to burry the whole thing. Who knows.
does anyone know what mag and issue it was run in? I bet I have it in my archives somewhere, it's just a matter of digging it up.
ABC does make fantastic boards, no doubt. It sucks to see what World did to their business. If only kids cared more about what they're riding. F-ing video game generation, go outside and build a treefort or something productive. |
