hmmm i got my eye on this deck...and its not in perfect condition, it hasnt been used...but had trucks mounted on it and stuff so it a "skatable" deck IMO...and should i buy it, i just dont think i could keep from skating the hell out of it.
it cant be replaced once i skate it...but dammit i cant help it. function over form every time IMO. i dont think i could collect anything and not skate it even just once. even just one toime would ruin the value but to me its not about the value, its the fun factor in skating it!
i would even do it to a mint vallely barnyard, hensley kingsize (either one) or any other deck for that matter.
i really seem to be into the 89-91 decks. some 88, some 92 prior to the popsicle shape taking hold like a cancer.
i am a bad person and i desire to take a mint deck, ESPECIALLY mint decks and thrash the hell out of them. its like giving a kid a candy bar and asking them not to eat the damn thing. daddy's got a sweet tooth and i need to satisfy my craving. |

I finally rode my blue Hawk (see page 1) for the first time at Newberg last weekend...I didn't want to ride it at first but I'm so glad I did..it fucking rocked. I always wanted one when I was 15-16 and now at 32 I finally was able to do it...god, it was rad.
So glad I did it...that's what it's all about. Got a lot of " dude, that's a sick board" and "you must be rich or crazy".

I could not collect anything but reissues because I would have to ridem'. My fiancee said to me one day, there skateboards, why not ride them and when your done riding them, then hang them on the wall to remember all the good times you had. good fn' advice! |
