I figured as much, but just wanted to make sure that everybody knew that dipping actually wasn't a good idea...

Don't know if the screening process was a bad job or what but I say "crap!" to Goo Gone; recently was working on a board that had sticker residue crap all over the winged ripper logo and it started to remove the white paint in the Powell Peralta wording as well as the skeletons head.

i'm not a happy camper!

(p.s. - In the past I had a Lance Mountain FP that I got from Adrain Demain and it had a " I Love Demi " paint pen art added to it that came off really well with GG didn't even affect the original graphic. )

I had the same prob as goofyfoot rider. I was removing stickers off an old stained Grosso deck, I was using eucalyptus oil and everything came off great except there was one on the tail cover part of the SC logo, well all the residue came off fine from that sticker too until I got to the logo. Something about that last stickers residue bonding with the logo for twenty years really f,ed up the logo where the sticker was covering it, lucky it did not cover much. the logo did not come completely off but it smudged the shit out of it.

Good luck, nothing like cleaning up an old board and thinking about what the decks have been through.

eucalyptus oil. all the fucken way!!!

chall, you must have fucked up when using it. its never stripped jack shit off any of the graphics on any of my boards that ive degripped. dont put too much on. dont leave it on too long. and dont put it on the wood. put it on a rag and then wipe the deck with the rag.

plus it IS great for when youve got a cold. totally clears out the sinuses.
