JC BBQ, San Jose, CA. Any of you bastards that live close to there go! Corner of Saratoga and Williams. Cab has been told but I don't think he's been there yet. GREAT bbq chicken, actually the best!
@TGM...seriously...that was the longest fucking response. JESUS! Funny how you shoot down Famous Dave's but pick the one thing that sucks there and call it good. What has marriage done to you?

I was in Memphis at the end of last year and on and off and a good bit of the first half of this year. Always heard about the Commisary from folks at work. They spoke very highly of it, but I never got to find out firsthand. I tried the "must visit" BBQ joints there... Rendevoux(sp?).....hated it actually...service sucked and food was not that great....sauce was so-so as well as their dry rub....now, Corky's, on the other hand....I did like that place...their BBQ chicken nachos were very good.....I did by sauce from the grocery store to bring home (didn't fall for the tourist trick of buying the $5 bottle at the restaurant when it is $2 at the grocerers).
Back to good ol' Bham....ate at Full Moon this past weekend.....always love that place...good to see it gets Zodiac's thumbs up.

You couldn't be more wrong on the issue, but I'm glad that some people think that Anus Dave's is a good BBQ place, because it keeps the truly good places less crowded.

Just this morning I ordered four bottles of 2000 Zaccagnini Montepulciano D'abruzzo Tralcetto Riserva.
But, I see no reason not to come down at some point.
Maybe do some Bass fishing. |
